  • HELP Concave/Convex in Cinema 4D 11

Posted by Blake Skaggs on November 16, 2008 at 12:03 am

I’m just starting to learn Cinema 4D at school on my own time. I’m using the Cinema 4D 10 workshop book but the school has Cinema 4D 11. While modeling in the book they constantly use the bevel tool under structure however they always ask you to switch it to concave or convex but those options are not showing up! Did it move between 10 and 11? If there is anybody that can help me find that concave/convex option it’d be much appreciated!

    Thanks!

It hasn’t changed. Look in the attributes manager, Options tab, “Type”. Default is linear but there’s a drop down menu with the concave and convex options.

I tried that but the only options I get are linear and user. Concave and Convex are no where to be found underneath it.

Ok, I’m guessing that you’re trying to bevel in polygon mode rather than edge mode. Switch to edge mode, select the edges you want to bevel, and all the options should be there.

YES that was it! I feel like a moron but thank you so much!

No problem — I don’t know why the options aren’t present in polygon mode. Doesn’t seem logical to me.
