  help can’t open projects

  I have recently updated from CS2 to CS4. The CS2 projects will not open, two things happen:

  IT WILL SAY, PROJECT APPEARS TO BE DAMAGED OR
  IT IS ABOUT TO ALLOW ME TO CONVERT IT, BUT THERE IS NO OPTION TO SELECT YES, NO, CANCEL IN THE WINDOW TO CONTINUE? The window is big enough where normally there are buttons under the question to me as the user to continue converting the CS2 to CS4? The autosave projects will not open either? Help.
