HELP – Can’t get my Varicam footage to playback on Kona LHe
So here’s my problem. .
I captured (via firewire) varicam footage and i’m trying to get it to play out my Kona LHe card. Right now i have the kona component outputs connected to a SD 14″ Sony Monitor. When i use the fcp easy setup preset for varicam footage (720p 23.98 8bit Varicam) i get a very distorted image on my monitor (looks like three squeezed images). How can i make sure that the Varicam footage is being downconverted to NTSC. Are there any presets i’m overlooking. . . is there a setting i need to change in the Kona LHe contol panel??
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

George,
I would try to double check all of the settings in the control panle. I am pretty sure the LHe does 720P HD downconverts like the KONA 2 but I do not know how the control panle looks compared to the KONA 2 control panel. I asume it is very similar because the I/O one is very similar as well.
Double check the easy setup and the Control panel op’s
