    Hi, and HELP!!!

I am editing a video using FCP 5.0.4 on a Mac Pro 8-core Xeon at work, and I need to finish it off this weekend using my Powermac G5 dual 2.7 also with FCP 5.0.4 at home.

I have copied all the media files that I need to the powermac. The project opens fine, and the usual media files offline window appears. This is where the problems arise . . . it lets me link some of the files, then the window closes. As there are some clips that still need reconnecting I do the usual right click and reconnect media. The window pops up, but for some reason it thinks it cant find the hard drive (i.e. “Powermac HD 2” missing). So I try and search for the files, nothing happens, then try and link the files manually via unchecking the file type box, this only closes the window completely.

Has anyone come across this problem before??? If so could you tell me the solution please?! I really need to finish this project this weekend, and I cant really resort to going back to work to do it, or starting again!

I have tried trashing the preferences, repairing permissions, and resetting all disk caches . . .

    Thanks
