  • Help! Any way to add commentary track without doubling video!?

Posted by Mike Leonard on May 6, 2009 at 1:41 pm

I have a show ready for DVD. There is an extra audio commentary track. Video is rendered as Mpeg 2 for DVD Architect and audio files are both AC3. DVDa seems to be doubling the video tracks which puts me way over 4.7gb. Is there a way to have two audio tracks reference the single video track?

Please help! (of course I’m in a time crunch)

    easy peasy

    🙂

drop mpeg2 into DVDA menu, which should bring the associated AC3 file with it.

then dbl click the video in the menu structure on the left, which will bring up the video plus its audio track

then drag the new commentary audio down below the existing audio track

when you preview the dvd, you’ll be able to swap between the 2 audio tracks using the buttons etc

oh, and you’ll prob want to rename the 2 audio tracks appropriately, so that they make sense when choosing between them with the remote / buttons etc
