over the last couple of days…my render times have gone crazy…I’m getting “out of memory” leaks and my renders crash.

It’s only happened after I returned from NAB and installed Zaxwerks 3D Flag and Glintwerks plug-ins, along with a Photoshop CS2 upgrade. Zax is looking at things from his end, but I’m wondering if there’s something else involved, since renders on both my main editing machine and my laptop have worked fine until now…

Desktop’s the main offender: Dell Precision 360 workstation, with a 3.2GHz P4, 2GB of memory, NVidia Quadro FX 500 graphics card, and AE 6.5 Pro…

If you have any suggestions, I’d love to hear them…

    Thanks!

Do you have other applications open while rendering? Zaxwerks products tend to eat up
memory, but as long as you don’t have it running you should be fine. I’ve had similar
problem with prior versions but never with 6.5. You may want to use something like the
system mechanics pro to defragment your memory to see if that helps or reboot(you probably
did this million times, ha?).Iam on a PC with similar config. and I can render in 2K size
3-5 min. in tga which can total to 40 gigs and no problem.
    Hope that helps.

Thanks for the quick response…I had no other applications running, and even went into Task Manager to close anything in the background that I could live without…also re-booted. I’m figuring out a workaround with a shorter version that rendered before the crash…
