    In my third project on FC I decided i didnt need output quality; only a good EDL export.
    So I used the OFFLINE RT DV to JPEG.to digirise..

    This might be a setup issue; but the timeline needs render..
    is this the case, what really is the proper setting? so that the asimple sequence palysback without any rendering.

    Sounds like you dropped the offline rt clips in a DV or SD sequence. you need to have both your timeline and capture settings set to Offline RT.
