    HELP!!!!!!!

My I.T. Says that a solution to a program NOT opening (final cut pro) is to dump the P-List in the preferences folder for that user. Our lab is connected to a server and all the students set their scratch to their projects HD (which is a local physical hard drive) The students affected all experience the same problem of not logging in, dumping their P-List, losing their scratch, and then their scratch shows as non set.

    What is another solution?

    Thanks

    Lee

The P-List file is just one of four files you need to delete in order to trash your preferences.

    workstation>Mac HD>Users>Workstation>Library>Preferences>com.apple.FinalCutPro.plist

workstation>Mac HD>Users>Workstation>Library>Preferences>Final Cut Pro User Data>Final Cut Pro 6.0 Prefs

workstation>Mac HD>Users>Workstation>Library>Preferences>Final Cut Pro User Data>Final Cut Pro Obj Cache

workstation>Mac HD>Users>Workstation>Library>Preferences>Final Cut Pro User Data>Final Cut Pro Prof Cache

You also might try repairing your disk permissions, with the Disk Utility.

    OT…sorry for this.

Richard, is that a chello or a bass? I ask because my daughter is learning the bass and YELLS AT ME for calling it a chello. I’ll learn…

What’s up Shane? It is a bass, that’s funny, I’m the same yelling at people calling it a cello too! Does she listen to Bill Haley and stand on top of it yet? It’s only a matter of time!
