So I use Sony Vegas to to record and mix multiple track rock songs that I play. Usually 11 tracks for the drum mics, and then a few for my guitar cabinet. Now I create a highhat beat from this beat maker which is what I use for a click track. To save a lot of time I reuse this beat and I change the tempo by using time stretch which seems to work. I slow it down or speed it up depending on the speed of the song. However randomly in the middle of the song this click track will glitch out and skip a beat, or there will be a short rest which screws me up drumming/recording to it, as the guitar is playing to that. Is there any reason why thats happening? Is there another solution, like perhaps a metronome that I can set up in program that I can change the tempo, or maybe another plug in thats a better time stretcher that won’t glitch out like that. Thanks in advance!

You did not mention what time stretch algorithm you used. Vegas has a couple. Classic and Elastique. You access this option via the event properties. Your project properties also has a setting for the quality level of time stretching.

Vegas does have a Metronome. You turn in on via the Options menu. For more info enter metronome into the index tab in the Vegas help.
