I went through hell and back trying to figure out premiere CS5 was crashing after I installed a new video card.

I was trying to add another card to get a 3rd and 4th monitor setup on my system. I originally had a Radeon 4850, purchased a new 6850 and the install was a breeze.

After installing all the new drivers and a reinstalling the radeon software. Everything on my computer was working including photoshop which I was using all day yesterday for work.

Then today I finally booted up premiere only to find that my project, which I’m halfway through kept crashing after loading up.

I tried wiping out premiere and reinstalling and after that didn’t work I even tried a fresh install of windows 7 with premiere on a different hard drive.

Once that was giving me problems again I realized its nothing to do with software. Put everything back the way it was and all of a sudden my project on my old drive is working again.

Anyone know what is going on with this one? Why won’t premiere work with 2 vid cards and is there anyway to solve this problem??
