I always thought this was a Final Cut thing. There are formats that Final Cut plays the audio from while capturing?

seem to recall hearing somewhere that the ability to monitor audio from HDV whilst capturing was something that just showed up in 6.0.3 …is that idle chatter or did it really happen?

6.0.3 does let you monitor. Just upgraded work great.
