New one on me. Very simple alpha channel of a logo. Brought into Photoshop, alpha channel made as usual, saved as a tiff and PSD, both give me the same error. “File can not be opened because of a header error.”

    Any suggestions?

Can you open the tiff file in any other app? You might be able to resave it, see if it corrects the problem.

    Maybe it’s just corrupt file?

Thanks – does open elsewhere. Been using the main logo for long time.

Is it set up as CMYK instead of RGB? In photoshop you can see what mode it is in and change it by going to menu “image->mode”

OK Nevin wins the prize…wish I had one to give one. Yes it was CMYK. How lacking in intelligence on my part.

    Thanks Nevin.
