Shooting a live performance dress rehearsal last evening, there was an audio problem in the last 5 minutes of the tape. The video image is perfect throught the entire documented 60 minutes. However, 5 minutes from the end an occasional audio drop-out was noticed followed by total silence. Again, the video images are perfect. No pixelation, snow, wavy lines, time-code drop, etc. Just perfect on screen footage. Is this audio issue the result of a a headclog or bad cassette?

Audio was heard through headphones and audio bars active while recording. Camcorder is JVC DV-5100. Only SONY PREMIUM 60 minute mini-dv or full sized PDV-124N tapes have passed through the transport. Head cleaner never, ever used. Unit has 475 hours.

    Any ideas or suggestions?

    Thanks in advance.
