  • Head and Tail fade suddenly needs a render?

Posted by Spockedit on September 21, 2005 at 10:08 pm

Out of no where my adrenaline is now requiring me to manually render head and tail fades (at least for audio.. havent checked video). If I go to expert render and render the entire thing it skips the fades. I am applying these fades one track of audio that has been set to MID. When I apply a head fade for instance, the audio will fade up, but only in the left output audio channel, then when the fade ends the right channel pops back in, as if the fade is ignoring the MID setting unless I tell the machine to render. This has never happened before. I must be missing something. Thanks in advance, this forum has been a great help.

    Hi,

I saw this a while back on the Avid Forums:

You might try contacting Avid, or running through your ReadMe file, because I think this is a known issue. (I realize you’re not on Xpress Pro, but it sounds like the same problem.)

    Hope that helps.

Thanks. I’m going to have to call them. Or just use rubber bands…
