    Yes, you get a SD down-converted output. It can be set to either letterbox or cropped.

    How? It seems like the manual and camera menu say a SDI SD out or HD-Y?

    Use the video out not the monitor output. The video out can be switched to HD-SDI, SD-SDI or CVBS, which is composite. The switch is a hard switch on the left side of the camera,
