    Shooting a doc on HDX900 in 720p24… shooting second camera HVX200 P2 cards, 720p 24N.

I know the DVCPROHD tapes are rolling 60 frames… when capturing over firewire from 1200a deck does FCP automatically flag the redundant frames and do the pulldown so I get 23.98 frames? I am guessing I just set my easy set up to capture 720p24 and let FCP do the rest, or should I capture 720p60?

Might sound like a stupid question… but I’ve never worked with the varicam or HDX900 before.

    Cheers

that format was built for firewire and the 1200a was built to pull it in over firewire… the two formats should line up just fine on the timeline if you did it right. use the easy set up for dvcprohd 2398… should set it up for you to pull in over firewire with device control of 5994 but sequence and capture of 2398 and pull the flagged frames.
