HDX Viewfinder on Varicam
An interesting note,
I went to put the viewfinder from my HDX on my Varicam the other day (since the 900 viewfinder doesn’t bloom as much) and they aren’t interchangeable (not physically, it fits, it just doesn’t work). Kind of a bummer from a back up point of view, but I guess it sort of makes sense with the 1080 thing.
Some one please tell me if I’m wrong.

Hi,
Your are right, the viewfinder for the HDX900 is not compatible with the VariCam. The HDX 900 viewfinder unit is native 1080i and the VariCam is only 720p native and thus not interchangeable.
