I am hearing conflicting reports about the HDX and slow motion. I have a varicma and shoot alot of 60fps for slow mo. I rarely change teh frame rate other than 60. Can i do the same thing with the HDX. If so how would i do it.

    Thanks,
    Sean

The same way you have been with the Vaicam. Set the HDX to 60 and shoot away!

I was told teh camera does not flag frames. If this is true woudl I still use Frame Rate COnverter on FCP to change teh 60fps into slow mo.

    Thansk,

Wow so the HDX can shoot slo-mo like the varicam.Iam sure ,like alot of people ,anytime Ive shot slo-mo with the varicam I’ve shot at the maximum 60 fps.So if the same can be achieved with the 900,that must be a strong selling point.Wonder why they dont advertise it more….or is it not that simple?

The HDX-900 flags frames identically to how the Varicam does it when the HDX-900 is operating in 720p mode. The difference is that the HDX-900 operates only at 24p, 30p and 60p frame rates (in 60Hz areas) while the Varicam is fully variable from 4-60fps. So if you
