hello. does anyone know if this deck is capable of a crossconvert? i have footage shot at 24psf and need to go to 59.94i (nitris ingest). do i need a frame converter??

No, you should be able to do it with the deck itself. Check user guide and set up accordingly via the menu settings.

You can do it in the VTR if the machine has the 3:2 pulldown board. Otherwise you will need to do a standards conversion. If you try to play a 24PsF tape with the machine set to 60i, you are speeding up the playback and will lose the audio, although the video might work. The audio circuitry in the VTR can deal with about a +/-0.3% speed change.
If you don’t have anyone in your area to do these conversions, we are in New York and we can do 24PsF to 60i conversions for you.

Thanks Bill. I will keep your info on file. I am in NY too. The deck has the pulldown board so i was able to get the 59.94i out. Nice and clean, but had to slip a few clips to sync with the audio. we are laying off to D5 right now! Thanks All! t
