Hi guys, so I think this has kinda been asked before, but I wanted an answer specifically for and HDV users (and me :D)-
I have a Sony Z5 camcorder, and want to ‘broadcast’ at 1080p on youtube. Currently my workflow is
Import in HDV, edit in Prores 422, export using the ‘export quicktime movie” function (to allow virtual clusters in compressor), then put it back through compressor using the standard youtube preset. Another company uses the same camera as me, but seem to produce FAR better results in terms of image quality, and 1080p on youtube. They’re only using software as well (no hardware compressors or anything).

Question 1: How to make it “1080p” on youtube, because when you upload it normally using the above workflow, it only comes up with 720p as its max option.
Question 2: Why does it? I thought HDV frame size/prores frame size for playback was 1920×1080? (1080p?) because it’s 1440 HD pixels?
Question 3: What are the BEST options for highest quality onto youtube?

    😀
