  HDV Workflow Suggestions

  I’m currently working on a HD feature length movie shot with a Sony Z1, FX1 and A1U using CineForm intermediates (1440 X 1080) produced with Connect HD. I’d appreciate any suggestions about workflow, order of handling the footage, especially where effects like a mask, color correction, pan & crop etc. in Vegas are utilized. Any suggestions for rendering out sections before final render (or not rendering at all until the final movie – which doesn’t at this stage seem hardly possible with a 90 minute feature). What templates, codecs would you suggest? What part of the project is better handled in After Effects than Vegas?

  (One of our actors is a senior in a graduate program at a local university. The school takes them to NY and LA to meet agents and the footage is a small WMV reel we put together for her along with a DVD of the contents.)
