Newbe urgent help needed. I have captured footage off the Sony Z1 in HDV via firewire. I have done my HD edit now need to output to SD. I set up a SD project and import the .avi. Here is where the problem starts, I am getting really bad motion artifacting on the video monitor. So what are the settings when you make movie I assume that is where I am going wrong. At the moment I use Blackmagic HD 8bit codec and pixel aspect 16×9 D1. I have experimented with other settings to no avail. Please tell me where I am going wrong.

    Adobe Prem Pro 2,

    Many thanks, Jen

    Hi

The 1080 projects field order will be Upper field first where as NTSC 16×9 will be lower field first.

Once you dragged you clip on to the timeline – right click . field options > reverse field dominance.

Alternatively flicker removal can be removed by moving the entire frame 1 line at a time.

please email – pcsupport@blackmagic-design.com if you have further issues.

If so please include the format and workflow and the Decklink device you are using.

    Thank you.
