In the past we would capture our DVCAM from a Sony DSR-1500 to a CineWave SD via Analog Component or SDI in order to have more latitude when dealing with material as uncompressed to scale, color correct, etc.

With regards to HDV if we’re still talking about Sony would we enjoy more lattitude transcoding the material going analog component (Multibridge), FireWire, or HDMI through Convergent Design or Miranda into a Decklink card? Be nice if MB had those inputs to truly be the ultimate converter.

Also, without the MB, is the simplest way to monitor via a second Cinema Display using F12?

    Thanks.
