  HDV solutions/render time

  Ive recently been edititng some HDV projects in FCPstudio5 and any rendering is very slow. I use sapphire effects also.

  I am mainly capturing from cameras via firewire. I do not have any decks. One camera has hdmi out.

  I am on dual g5 with pci-x card bus.

  When I output files for clients 95% of the time it is to hard disk and a few times we output back out to tape via firewire.

  I am wondering if there is anything I can get that will help increase not rendering effects or speed up the render time FCP5 performance. Ive seen the blackmagic and kona cards and a box from matrox.
