HDV projects won’t play in DVD player?
I’m working on a project using HD DVD footage and using DVD Studio Pro to make my disc for a client preview. When I export as a FCP movie and import into DSP as an HD project, it plays fine and the disc plays fine on my computer but does not play in a DVD player.
I’ve tried exporting using quicktime conversion as an NTSC DV with a 16:9 aspect ratio and the quicktime movie looks fine on my computer but looks squished in DSP as an SD project.
How can I get this thing to play in a standard DVD player and maintain a 16:9 aspect ratio?

HD DVD and DVD are 2 different formats. HD DVD will not play on a standard DVD player. You need to author a Blu Ray disc for get a HD signal.
