I’m not quite sure how to handle this project, so any suggestions are very welcome.

it’s a (4 screen-sync) videoinstallation, shot on HDV. It will be played from synced computers and projected with beamers. HD-beamers will be too expensive, so it won’t be shown at a higher resolution then 1280 x 1024.

    some of my doubts:

    -format/resolution
What format should I edit in? Should I use Vegas6/Cineform-intermediate or DV-Proxys, or another format?
I will have to use 4 x Picture in Picture a lot to see all screens at once, and maybe cineform will be too heavy for that. I was thinking of downconverting the material to a smaller framesize (1280 x 960) before editing (using custom settings in Vegas) to make the video less heavy?

What format should I use to play the installation from the computer
    I ‘m thinking about delivering in WMV-HD. The beamer can’t play 1440 x 1080, so the maximum seems to be 1280 x 960
Would it be best to render the WMV-HD to the smaller framesize or should I keep the original size and let the beamer convert it to it’s own screen size?

In general: how would you handle such a project with vegas?
