    Hi
I have one question regarding recording with two different camera system, one is PAL and other one is NTSC both Canon XH A1.
Is it possible to edit bcs imho they will have the same video dimension but different frame rate, is that correct !
Is it possible to have two different format (PAL and NTSC) on the same timeline, would it have sync problem…

Yes, you can do this, however one camera’s format will not match the other, so one camera would have to be rendered in a sequence which matches only one of the cameras. It would be preferable to not do this of course.

Which format do you need to deliver? The PAL material would look better in an NTSC sequence than the NTSC material would look in a PAL sequence too I’ll wager.

    Leo,

Anything is possible — with enough time and money you can change every pixel of your video, but you don’t save anything by shooting with two mismatched cameras.

Production errors, such as the one you’re asking about here, will cost you big time in post, and it can jeopardize the quality of your entire production. Standards conversions are simply never as good the same video without the conversion, and cutting the two together shows the difference in almost every case. There is almost no worse mistake you can make than shooting with mismatched cameras, and using cameras with different standards would be the worst of the worst.
