    Hi there,

I’m having a strange problem with Premiere Pro CC that I simply cannot figure out. I’m importing PAL 1080i50 HDV footage shot to CF card on a Sony Z7, and every shot has this weird interlacing or combing effect on lines and edges.

None of this shows up when the M2T file is viewed in Windows Media Player or Media Player Classic. Everything is smooth.

I have attempted to convert the M2T file to other formats, and the issue is reduced by not entirely eliminated.

    Any thoughts?

    Thanks!

Are you observing this on the computer monitor or on your video monitor?

Alas I don’t have a video monitor at my disposal, only PC monitors.

I ended up reencoding the files and they look perfect. I have no idea why Premiere Pro CC is making the original M2T files look so awful, since they look great in media players and after transcoding.

Not ideal but it got the job done.
