    Greetings,

    FCP 5.0.4
    XL H 1 camera
    shot 24fpc
    Kona Card

Any tips on importing footage into FCP wolud be helpful.
Should we downconvert? What has your experience been?

Any other information we can give you so you can help us will be supplied!

We are having issues with the cadance and there are jagged edges around lights and people when they move.

    Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Have you searched this forum for HDV? There has been a LOT of discussion on HDV in just the past two weeks alone.

Funny you should ask. I’m writing an aricle about HDV and FCP in the next issue of the COW magazine. Do you have a capture card capable of capturing the HDV as something else?

If you don’t the jagged edges are ‘probably” not there but only show up in your canvas… If you monitor externally, you’d probably not see them. course this takes more gear. It’s the ‘hidden’ costs of working in HDV, you neeed to be able to monitor externally…
