  • HDV from Apple for Windows Users – Compression settings for success?

I need to compress some short videos finished in HDV into a format that maintains the quality and aspect ratio of HDV and plays easily on Windows machines, maybe with Quicktime 7. What setting in Compressor should I use to make such a file? Size is not a problem. Help! I need to do this tonight. Thanks. Pamela

Any H.264 16:9 preset that comes with Compressor will work. If size doesn’t matter then go with the Quicktime 7 Download highest bitrate setting.

Then your Windows person has to make sure to download Quicktime Player 7.
