HDV footage to PRO RES ?
Can Anyone Help ?
I have a sony Z1 and want to capture the footage in pro res, However after a few tests the best results i have has got a lot of noise in the picture does anyone know of the best settings for this so i don’t get the noise?

Capturing to ProRes in no way could add noise to your footage, unless there’s something wrong with your FW cable or something.

ok thanks for the info i will check the cable could you recomend any settings anyway to see it it would help any with time or quality ?

Under audio/video settings make sure you have it set to HDV Firewire and ProRes 422. You might try HDV Firewire Basic too.
