HDV footage is being squeezed. Help!
Everytime I import any HD footag into Motion, it gives it a horizontal squeeze so that it becomes 4:3. Is there a simple something I need to do to fix this? My project is set at HDV1080i. that is the same as the footage I’m importing.

If you need to see your Footage in the correct aspect ratio
go to the View Options in the Right Hand Corner and toggle the “Correct for Aspect Ratio” menu item
This should adjust the aspect Ratio for the Footage

Have you checked if “Correct for Aspect Ratio” is on ?

Thanks! I’ll give this a try. I’ve never worked with 16:9 footage in motion…
