HDV footage in XDCAM EX Timeline
Hey kids…I have a theme park ride shoot over the weekend using my EX3…but I will also have to use a Canon HV20 as a crash cam for some inserts into the master footage.
The question is simple…what do I need to do to the 1080i HDV footage out of the HV20 to get it to conform as much as possible in the FCP timeline with the 1080p footage from the EX3? (FYI I am not going to shoot in the 24P mode.)

I’d like to do it in 1080 but if going to 720p makes more sense then great (it’s getting dialed out to DVD for a trade show).
I can shoot the master footage at 720p…but what do I need to do to get the HV20 footage to 720p. Is there a Compressor setting that will work to do the down res?
