    Hi All,

Am currently try to export/master a program to a Sony HDV deck (the small one). I had this deck out a couple of weeks ago and after a couple of teething problems manage to get the capturing thing all sort and of I go. so fast forward a few weeks and the program is ready to be mastered out. so I hook up the deck and start thing happening and well its not working. Essesntially it looks like I’m getting communication errors between the deck and FCP 5.0.3. I’ve treid just about every setting combination under the sun but am having no luck. I’ve been through the Audio/Video settings and played with all the combinations here but have noticed that when I re-boot FCP 5.0.3 as it has crashed several times whilst trying to get this to work, FCP is not communicating with the deck and I’m getting – Unable to locate the following external devices:

    HDV (1440 x 1080) 25 fps etc warning!

Am I just retarded or is there something not quite up to speed with FCP and HDV yet, has anyone out there successfully mastered out a HDV program to HDV????

Please help I’m considering becoming an accountant! 🙂
