    Hi all,

Ive got a problem wherein I am attempting to export an HDV sequence as a quicktime movie and the exported movie is out of sync. Im using the standard HDV1080i presets in the timeline where everything plays fine, but the exported movie is out of sync.

My movie is 50min long. It plays good on the timeline. The sync in the export is off (and it seems to be somewhat inconsistent, in other words, if I line it up in one place, its off in another, its not “off” by the same amount throughout.)

Ive tried it with other sequences and it worked. Maybe I should make a new sequence and copy and paste into it, and try it from that one? Or delete audio render files and rerender them?

Any suggestions here? Its happened before and I never figured it out then.

Im running a dual G5 2.5Ghz, 4GB ram, and the latest version of FCP.

    Thanks for your input.

    Sterling

Perform an audio mixdown and give it another go… Sequence/Render only submenu or type option+command+r. Will create a render file of the audio, that may stay in sync better. You are exporting using “current settings”, right?

Might also post why you want to do this.. might be another way to get to the end product… like a DVD maybe?

SOunds to me like quicktime can’t keep up and is dropping frames. How fast the drive you are exporting to?
