I’m using the AIC codec and the HDV/AIC timeline settings with no customization of those settings. We are editing in HDV and exporting to SD and burning to DVD. The video looks very studdery on our HD interlaced monitor- especially in the panning movements. It looks to me like it’s a field order issue. But for the life of me I can’t figure out where in the chain the order is getting switched. I’ve tried to keep everything upper dominant throughout. Is this even the issue? What’s the trick for getting smooth video playback on a DVD in which the original video was down-converted from HDV?

    Thanks,
    Tim
