hdv capture
I’m trying to capture HDV footage from a Sony HDV camera, model # HVR-Z1N. I have been selecting HDV capture, unchecked the ” use external video capture application,” and selected the “IEEE 1394/MPEG-2 TS Device.” At this point I am not able to select my camera as the device. It says “device not available.” I have the camera connected via firewire.
Am I forgetting something here? -

What about the camera settings? Is the camera set to output HDV or DV?
