  HDV Audio Hesitating in Trimmer

  I’ve been having this issue for a while with Vegas Video. I like to use the trimmer a lot when editing. But when I’m using HDV footage, The audio cuts off in pulses, as if my processor is not able to keep up with the real-time decoding. However, it’s fine when I’m playing it on the timeline, even with multiple streams of audio and video layered, with dissolves, etc. My machine is pretty powerful -Core2 Quad 2.4Ghz with 4Gb ram. The HDD is 7200RPM and I’ve disabled all virus scanners. It does the same thing on my laptop too (Core2 Duo 2.0GHz, 7200rpm, 3Gb Ram).
  I have the video preview set to Preview, even Draft at lowest quality, and it still does it.
  I’m out of ideas. Any help??
