    Hi,

    Hope someone can help?

I’m editing a film at the moment (length 80min) and made a DVD last night in DVD Studio Pro, exporting my sequence from FCP.
I used the ‘Best Quality 90 minutes’ setting, which hasn’t let me down so far, but was shocked at how bad the quality was? It also took about 5-6 hours to encode.

This is the first time I have been working with the HDV format incidentally.

Also I shot the film progressive on a Sony HVR-V1U and a Canon HV40, my capture codec was 1050i.

Is there a trick to getting a nice looking DVD converting from HDV?

The movement seemed strange also on the DVD I had made, definately something is a miss.

    Hope someone can help.

    Steve
