  HDV 720p Proj REALLY SLOW STARTUP

  Up to date CS4 on MacPro. 8 core 2.7 10 gigs-o-ram. Snow Leopard.

  Captured HDV 720p 24fps form the HD100u. Not only is it hit and miss when I’m doing regular editing – when I reload the project it takes about 10 minute to prepare clips that have already been captured, indexed, and conformed. It doesn’t recomform, it just takes forever to load up when the project starts. I can see the media one by one becoming available. The media can be from 5 minutes to 1hr each. Most are about 50 min clips and I’ve got about 5 of those – then 3 others that range from 5 – 20 mins. Please help – I am preparing to wave goodbye to my deadline.
