  • HDV 30p and 24p in same project – help

I’m about to start on a project shot with the JVC HDV and just got the tapes. It looks like they shot with two cameras one of which was 24p and one of which was 30p. This is a new format for me to begin with but what’s going to be the best way to mix these two?

Is it better to capture is native HDV or with Apple Intermediate Codec? I have to capture over Firewire.

Hmmm- it looks like Apple Intermediate doesn’t support 24p. Does that mean my only alternative is to edit in Native HDV?

I’m on a G5 1.8 dual with FCP Studio 2. Am I going to be in a world of hurt?

    Thanks,

Then is it best to edit in Native HDV or take it in through Apple Intermediate?
