  HDV 24fps to PAL SD DVD

  I have a music video project, shot in HDV 60i (NTSC XH-A1 Camcorder), converted to 24fps in After Effects and edited in 24fps iN FCP. I have to send it to Europe for broadcast on television and can’t get a clean conversion to PAL 25fps.

  1. Do I have to downconvert to SD NTSC before going to SD PAL? If so, how do I perform a clean downconversion from HDV to SD?

  2. If I can go straight to SD PAL, what’s the correct workflow?

  I’ve been posting everywhere about this issue and two weeks later I still haven’t got any good results. If anyone knows the correct way to do this please let me know. Thank you /Jay
