I need to get some HDV 1080i60 footage from a Final Cut Pro system to an Avid Media Composer running on Windows Vista. The first .mov had audio and only a white screen for video. Do we need to load another video codec on the Avid or use a different export format from the Final Cut Pro system?

If you open the QT in QT player, and hit CMD-I, what codec does it specify?

    That’s your problem right there!

Windows doesn’t support HDV natively. Companies like Calibrated Software will sell you a codec that can do it. $79 or so, I believe.

Short of that, you need to export to a different codec.
