HDMI Capture Not Working
Hey guys this is my first post on Creative Cow, and I’m excited for some useful info! We’re having a bit of trouble capturing footage with HDMI. We have a Sony HVR-V1U plugged into a Black Magic Intensity Pro, and we edit and capture with Final Cut Pro 6 on a Mac Pro.
Our problem is that whenever we plug the HDMI into the camera, the preview screen in the Final Cut log and capture window doesn’t show the video, It only shows either black or occasionally flashing green screen, and will capture whatever the preview screen shows.
We record in HDV1080i at 59.94, and all of our sequence and capture settings match that.
Any thoughts?

Has the camera been set to output thru HDMI? Can you plug the camera to an HDMI monitor and see what’s on the tapes? Do you see anything?

Yeah we’ve hooked it up to a TV with the HDMI and it works perfectly.
