I’d like to get an HDLink for viewing HD on set with a Dell 23″ LCD Display.. However, I also run the video village/assist, and need to capture the footage for playback.. The captured footage doesn’t need to be HD (can’t carry this super-mega case full of hard disks out in the field!), I usually just capture via composite or svideo via firewire through a DV Clamshell into a Vegas timeline for playback/looping/quick edits.. If I purchase the HDLink, how can I also have a SD composite/svideo signal coming to my notebook for capture?

    Thanks!

    Matthew,

HDLink is a HDSDI -> DVI-D/HDMI converter. This is not suitable for your intended workflow.

    Cheers,

Could I do this with a multibridge?

Seems overkill, but I’ll spend almost as much just getting an AJA box that gives me HDSDI to analog.. I have the DecklinkHD, can I use the multibridge with it?
