  • HDLink Pro 3D or AJA HDP2 for Resolve on Mac w/ Dreamcolor?

Just curious if it matters at all – I know you have to have a BMD Decklink extreme / 3D card in your mac pro but I am just curious if it matters for the converter box going to my HP Dreamcolor.

I guess this brings up again my questions about comparing the two when using a Dreamcolor – is there any huge difference in quality or setup / performance between the HDP2 & the hdlink 3D?

    cheers

[Sean Kapleton] “just curious if it matters for the converter box going to my HP Dreamcolor.”

There is a lot of chatter concerning the Dreamcolor, along the lines of it being a great monitor for CGI, but not necessarily so for HD video, and that most of its functionality relies on an RGB feed — otherwise the colorspace profiles are not available. I don[‘t use one, so there may be other news. So, does it have an SDI input?

I’d like to bring back the original question. Can Resolve work with a non-bmd converter box?

    thanks.
