    Hello all,

I was given a hard drive from a production house that contains XDCAM EX files and I can’t get them into my FCP or my Avid MC. The folder structure looks like this:

I’ve got the ClipBrowser software and the XDCAM transfer software, how do I get this stuff into my FCP?? They’ve got MP4s of all the clips as well, but they’ve been compressed and encoded with some codec my FCP and Avid can’t read. Any help is greatly appreciated my Medical Relations department is really excited to see this stuff finished.

    Thanks!

    Nevermind, I think…

Looks like the production house moved all the original MP4s from their sony clip buckets and put them into their own folder. Was able to import them using xdcam transfer. 😀

Yeah I was going to say looks like the actual clips are gone- what you have was the metadata.
