I’m at the point in my HD project where it has to be made into an HDCam master tape for broadcast. A friend in NY has an HDCam deck and is going to make the masters. What is the best choice for me to give them so they can accomplish this? Is it avi, quicktime?
They also use Final Cut Pro and are not that familiar with Vegas.
What exactly should I give them?

Here are the settings for my project:

Is this Export Video to XDCAM disc something that would be helpful to the person with the HDCam deck? I’m not familiar with it at all.

Lastly, should I have the settings for the scopes(picture below) set to 7.5 IRA?

I’m really green on this end of the project. Any other suggestions would be GREATLY appreciated.
As crazy as it sounds, my wife and I have traveled, filmed, and edited for 3 years producing a series for PBS called Painting and Travel. We have done this totally on our own. It’s our first. They have approved the series, etc. and what is left is putting the show in their hands as an HDCam master. This is a big deal for us.

Thanks for any help. This forum is really a life saver.

Good question. I dont think I have done this in Vegas.
IN FCP there is a easy way to do this.

If they are using FCP I would just give them the HDV file clip rendered in Vegas on a Hard Drive and let them do all the transcoding for HDCAM.
