I’m running Premiere Pro CS5 with MX02 mini connected.

    I’ve copied across some P2 files (720HD) which were shot on an HVX200 at 960 x 720.

When I drag the files into Premiere Pro and play back from the timeline, there is a noticeable flicker on my external monitor (looks like clips are aliased or trying to deal with fields etc). Footage looks fine on the program monitor within PP.

The external monitor is an LCD Samsung model.

    Is this behaviour ‘normal’?

    Thanks

Is your playback resolution set to 1/2? How well does the Matroz device deal with that? Many third party I/O devices don’t work with Mercury’s reduced resolution decode modes.
