January 2, 2011 at 6:28 pmConsidering this is used in TV studios sometimes I would say this is more pro than semi-pro. Additionally both the HVX and DVX seem to be able to do this along with the EX-3 and possibly EX-1. You are sure there is no way to ABB?

January 4, 2011 at 9:13 pmi don’t remember now Panasonic HVX or Sony EX, but when you start-up JVC, camcorder automatic close iris, and after opens – check what doing ring on lens.
On broadcast camcorders, camera after start-up never auto close iris.
(i check now with dsr-570, but no have my JVC in home), after starts camcorder iris is extractly in position when you off camera. If You clear matrix im JVC (similar to ABB) you go to simple servive menu. Ask dealer what doit. I don’t remember extractly, you must switch to HD-24P, and on first service menu.
